Greenvelope lets you add custom questions to your RSVP page, so guests answer them at the same time they reply. On a wedding RSVP, custom questions are the usual way to collect meal choices, song requests, and which sub-events each guest can attend. Business and nonprofit hosts use them to track session choices, dietary needs, and adults versus children. In the Greenvelope editor these are labeled Survey Questions, and the options are close to endless while the setup stays simple and intuitive.
Where do custom questions appear on the RSVP page?
Custom questions appear on the guest's Greenvelope RSVP page immediately after the guest selects a response status. Each answer is saved to that guest's record, so meal choices and other responses stay attached to the RSVP.
Types of custom questions
Type A: Dropdown menu, for example adults vs. children
Type B: Radio buttons, for example meal preference
Type C: Checkboxes, for example sub-event tracking
Type D: Free response, for example song requests
How to add custom questions to your RSVP
Step 1: Click the "Details" step.
Step 2: Click the "RSVP Page" section.
Step 3: Click the "Add a New Question" button in the "Survey Questions" section.
How do I collect meal choices with an online RSVP?
Add a radio button question named Meal Preference and list each entree as an answer option. Guests pick one when they RSVP in Greenvelope, and every response is tracked with that guest's RSVP so you can review the totals at any time.
