Greenvelope makes it easy to deliver your card, even if you do not know the email address for a contact. In this article, we will cover delivering your card through a private Facebook message or via text message to a mobile phone. Even with these alternative sending methods, your contact will still receive a beautiful, personally addressed envelope (if you choose to deliver your card with a digital envelope).
How to Send Via Text Message
Step 1: When creating your contact, make sure to include a phone number in the "phone" field.
Step 2: After saving the contact, Click “Send” from your mailing list. If the “Send” button does not appear, this likely means the number you entered does not support text messaging through Greenvelope.
Step 3: If the contact has no email, the card will automatically be sent by text message when the send is completed. If the contact has an email, you can choose to send by text message instead of email.
TEXT PRICING: Every paid Greenvelope account includes a maximum of 500 text messages. This limit can be increased at a price of $20 USD per 500 for typical use cases. If you are sending to a large number of non-US numbers, there may be an additional cost. Please visit your billing page to purchase additional text messages.
NOTE: We currently only support text messaging to the US (US territories may not be supported), Canada, United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, Australia, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, and Switzerland.
