Greenvelope makes it easy to collect guest mailing addresses online when you send a Save the Date, so you are not chasing addresses by text and spreadsheet later. Turn the feature on and each contact is asked to provide mailing address information when they open your Save the Date. All provided information is automatically added to that contact's profile in your Greenvelope address book, where it stays available for your wedding invitations and every mailing after that.
NOTE: This functionality is only offered with the Save the Date service.
How will the mailing address collection appear to a recipient?
The request appears to your guest inside the Save the Date itself, so there is no separate form to send and nothing for the guest to download or sign up for.
How to collect guest addresses with your Save the Date
Step 1: Click the "Details" step.
Step 2: Click the "Information" section.
Step 3: Expand the "Advanced Options" sub-section.
Step 4: Click the "Collect Mailing Address" toggle ON.
Can I collect addresses for wedding invitations this way?
Yes, by collecting them with the Save the Date first. Because every answer is written to the contact's profile rather than to a single event, the addresses your guests submit are already on file when you build your wedding invitation, and they are there for thank you notes afterward too. Guests only have to enter their address once.
Where do the collected addresses go?
Each address is saved to the matching contact fields in your Greenvelope address book as guests respond, so your guest list updates itself with no manual entry. You can review the addresses on any contact at any time, or export the list if you need it elsewhere.
