Now, relationship-building and customer relations management are easier than ever with the new Salesforce - Greenvelope integration. Integrating with Salesforce allows Greenvelope users to directly import contacts from Salesforce campaigns and sync RSVP data back into campaign member statuses in real time. The best part is configuring the integration is simple by following the steps below, and the configuration does not require a developer.
Obtaining your Salesforce Key and Secret Token:
Using an administrator account, log in to Salesforce. From the top right header menu, select “Setup" from the settings icon.
Step 2: Under the "Platform Tools - Apps - External Client Apps" menu from the sidebar, click the "External Client App Manager" link.
Step 3: Click "New External Client App"
Step 4: In the New External Client App page and enter the following information in the form.
- External Client App Name: Greenvelope
- API Name: Greenvelope
- Contact Email: support@greenvelope.com
Step 5: Check the "Enable OAuth Settings" checkbox and enter the following information:
- Callback URL: https://www.greenvelope.com/_addon/salesforce.aspx
Additionally, in the Available OAuth Scopes list, select the following items and click "Add":
- Manage user data via APIs (api)
- Perform requests at any time (refresh_token, offline_access)
Step 6: Click “Create”. You are now ready to obtain your Salesforce integration information!
Step 7: In the page that appears for your new connected app, open the "OAuth Settings" section, click the “Consumer Key and Secret” button. Copy those values and save them for the next steps.
How to Connect Salesforce:
Step 8: Go to your Greenvelope.com account and click your account name on the top left.
Step 9: Select “Salesforce” in the top menu.
Step 10: Click the toggle to turn on the Salesforce integration.
Step 12: Click “Authorize.” You will be asked to sign in to your Salesforce account (if you are not already logged in). Select "Allow" to give Greenvelope access to your Salesforce account.

Connecting Legacy Connected Salesforce Accounts:
Older connected accounts may look a little bit different, but are still currently supported. You can use the steps below to set up this type of account. Steps 8-12 will still be identical to the steps above.

Step 2: In the left navigation menu expand “Create” and then click “Apps.”
Step 3: Under the "Platform Tools - Apps" menu from the sidebar click the "App Manager" link.
Step 4: In the New Connected App page and enter the following information in to the page.
- Connected App Name: Greenvelope
- API Name: Greenvelope
- Contact Email: support@greenvelope.com
Step 5: Check the "Enable OAuth Settings" checkbox and enter the following information:
- Callback URL: https://www.greenvelope.com/_addon/salesforce.aspx
Additionally, in the Available OAuth Scopes list, select the following items and click "Add":
- Manage user data via APIs (api)
- Perform requests at any time (refresh_token, offline_access)
Step 6: Click Save. You are now ready to obtain your Salesforce integration information!
Step 7: In the page that appears for your new connected app, click the "Manage Consumer Details" button, then copy the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret values.
